Warrington business centre sign’s new consumer charter
Portal Business Centres members of the Business Centre Association (bca) have signed the bca’s new consumer charter. The charter’s objective is to ensure the consumer experience in looking and moving into a serviced space is a positive one.
When looking for a serviced office many are confused over the role of the office agent/broker and the business centre operator. The bca have worked tirelessly to ensure that this process is transparent for the benefit of the consumer. The bca have put into place a Code of Conduct and Best Practice and a Consumer Charter for all brokers and operators to sign in order to benchmark working practices, which will in turn improve the serviced office industry and benefit the consumer.
This week OfficeBroker has led the way by attaching the bca shield to those serviced office operators who are bca members, and giving access to the code of conduct to the consumer. With others brokers adopting the shield in the next few weeks.
Jennifer Brooke from the bca says ‘This demonstrates to the consumer that we are all working together. We are committed in creating stronger bonds between brokers, serviced office operators and the bca for the good of the consumer and all those involved in the industry.’
Sallie Maskrey, Portal Business Centres director said ‘As an operator and bca board member I believe it is important that we show we are dedicated to supporting businesses in an ethical and professional manner. By signing the Consumer Charter and adhering to a code of conduct to demonstrate to prospective and existing clients that we are committed to supporting and helping them develop their businesses.’
