Last week Warrington & Co. published its eighteenth annual property review. The review reports on market activity for the previous year and gives an ideal overview of how the commercial and residential property markets are performing in the area. Once again, this year’s report reflects a continued confidence both in the local area and the wider region.

Warrington’s status as the perfect location for new business start-ups has been recognised by a number of independent studies, with the town having been ranked in the top 10 locations for this. This solidifies the town’s status as an important regional hub for both business and continued investment. Warrington is recognised as a successful location for a number of reasons, including its level of employment and of private sector job creation.

Furthermore, The Centre for Cities annual report for 2016 named the town as one of only 14 UK cities classed as “high wage and low welfare”, the only city in the North of England to be included.

The serviced office sector continued to perform strongly in 2015, with Warrington’s office market showing significant growth in the start-up sector. This was reflected in the demand from smaller sized office, which is ideal to fit the needs of these businesses, whilst also allowing them the opportunity to grow within the town’s high quality business centre offerings.

JLL’s “The Geography for Office Demand – Where Next in the UK” 2015 report identified Warrington as one of the ten future potential growth centre for office space, predicting that the area will see high employment growth over the next five years, in part due to the strength of the nuclear cluster within the area.
